Job Purpose
We’re looking for a competent apprenticeship training specialist to join our team and help our apprentices develop and achieve.
With a passion for teaching and training you will plan and deliver a range of management apprenticeship programmes including full qualifications awarded by .
About you
You’ll enjoy and relish the opportunity of working with a range of different learners on apprenticeship programmes.
You’re committed and have a passion for developing people and can support and help foster creative learning pathways for individuals and employers.
You have high level skills in maths and English and can support others with their development in literacy and numeracy.
You have excellent customer service skills, can be flexible in your approach and can communicate effectively both in person and online with managers and apprentices at all levels.
You have experience of working as a manager for at least 5 years and enjoy meeting and building relationships with new employers.
Key Responsibilities
- Training and support for apprentices across our management apprenticeship programmes including standards, functional skills and additional learning support.
- Planning of apprenticeship programmes working in partnership with the Quality Team Leader and Account Manager.
- Be involved in the recruitment, initial assessment, sign-up and induction of apprentices.
- Promote the fundamental British values of democracy, safeguarding, H&S and E&D.
- Managing and resourcing training and support activities.
- Recording, administration and support for all apprentices using eAssessor, Enable/Get to Gateway, Microsoft Teams, email and face to face visits.
- Working closely with the administration team in all aspects of the role.
- Report to the Account Manager and Quality Team Leader to make sure all aspects of the programme delivery and quality assurance/audit is maintained.
- Attend training and meetings as required by the organisation.
- Travel and manage own time in an effective manner.
- Working and staying away on business as and when the organisation requires.
- Knowledge or experience of Microsoft Office, SharePoint and online VLE systems.
- Support apprentices to engage and develop maths and English skills through use of BKSB.
- Prepare the apprentices for the EPA gateway.
- Accountable for apprentice development, progress and timely achievement.
- Building and maintaining strong and effective relationships with employers’ staff and their apprentices.
- Always deliver reliable and excellent customer service .
Skills and Occupational Requirements
Essential
- Ability to demonstrate effective understanding of a range of teaching, coaching, mentoring methods.
- Strong level of competency around IT systems and procedures.
- Have a minimum of 5 years management experience within a business.
- Hold full UK driving license and have your own vehicle to use for business.
- Maths and English at GCSE C or above.
Desirable
- Hold a recognised teaching qualification (L3 AET, PTTLS).
- Hold a relevant assessor qualification (D32/33, A1/2, TAQA).
